Connect to the Breath

Join Jamie and Jacko at Roar Movement in Nottingham on Sunday 22nd January for a unique breathwork experience bringing together two of the best breath training coaches in the United Kingdom.

Learn the science behind different breath training and breathwork practises. Experiencing the benefits of improved functional breathing that will be applied into practical elements of the workshop where Jacko and Jamie will guide you through better connection to your breath, for what is often a life changing experience.

Jamie Clements is a breathwork specialist and founder of The Breath Space. Jamie has worked alongside top entrepreneurs, politicians, athletes and many more, to share the life changing potential of breathwork and altered states of consciousness.

After discovering out first-hand just how impactful breathwork can be, Jamie strongly believes that breathwork is the most universal and powerful tool that we all have access to change our minds and live healthier, happier lives.

David Jackson is a Master Instructor with the Oxygen Advantage working now as a breath-work coach. A former professional rugby player, accredited UKSCA Strength & Conditioning coach, NASM performance enhancement & corrective exercise specialist on a mission to make breath-work a normal part of our everyday lives.​

DIVING DEEPER INTO FORREST YOGA

How are you holding space for you?

Are you in need of a little clarity, space; perhaps the resources to guide you back to presence as we navigate our way through our own version of life.

My practice is 'my way' to be with all of that is, a form of body listening.

This is a window or an opportunity to ‘tune in’, being with your emotional and physical needs in a way that a longer practice can truly resource, YOU.

Ever wondered what to expect from a longer, hot practice that celebrates acceptance, your truth and strength?

Come & join me at Roar for a morning to explore your body, & experience the feeling practice, that is Forrest yoga.

Forrest yoga has been developed to address the physical and emotional stresses and challenges faced by today's people; supporting in finding a deeper connection to your centre and core being.

Expect an intense sequence of poses, supported with conscious breath.

This is an intimate group, offering 10 places only, on Sunday 16th Oct July 9.30am - 12.00pm priced at £30.

Here's what to expect:

• Holding space, my offering is not about fixing or changing who you are.

• This is a time to hold space for you. Re-connecting with parts of us that have been a little lost or quiet.

• Expect a two and a half hour yoga practice with a theme/intent, followed by rest and relaxation.

• Directionally, expect an intense sequence of poses, an emphasis on abdominal exercises, breathing & the relaxation of the neck; to help strengthen & recover the areas most vulnerable to our everyday circumstance, such as the low back & neck.

• Adjustments are always provided ensuring the practice supports you! Hands-on assists* are offered through, albeit this is optional.

• This is extended practice is not advised for complete beginners to yoga, if you are unsure please do get in touch.

• The room will be heated to 30 degrees, this supports the body in opening whilst helping you to flush, oxygenate, and rejuvenate every cell.

Learn to take flight with Dan & Tay, as we explore the foundations of arm balances.

This 90 minute workshop has been specifically designed to teach you the mechanics and preparatory steps of arm balances, so you can understand the essential actions and movements, allowing you to approach arm balances safely with greater confidence.

Expect to energise yourself through a dynamic vinyasa flow activating and targeting the areas of the body that need to be turned on to find ease in a variety of arm balances.

We will then move through targeted drills and utilise props and core work to help find balance. We will be working with arm balance asanas such as crow (bakasana), side crow, elephant trunk, flying splits, and more!

This workshop will help your body understand the mechanics of arm balances as well as develop the strength and confidence to continue to play and face challenges with resilience.

As much as this workshop will incorporate strength and alignment, there will also be plenty of flow time allowing for balance between strong effort and soft ease.

This workshop is best suited to those who have 6 months + yoga experience, but if you're unsure please drop us a message.

Join us for a wonderful day retreat at the incredible venue in the Vale of Belvoir, beginning at 11am & finishing at 5pm.

You'll be welcomed to the venue from 10.45am with a refreshing homemade lemonade (pineapple, lemon, ginger & sparkling water).

The morning practise will begin at 11am where we will have Katie guiding us through an energising Pilates session.

After practise we'll break for lunch at 12.30pm in the farmhouse kitchen. Lunch is provided by Chamiah of Nourish Me Wild - for those of you who haven't heard of her, she provides exceptional, nutritionally balanced vegan food. Menu will be sent out nearer the time.

You'll be encouraged to take lunch slowly, chatting & making this an experience to really enjoy.

After lunch, we’ll take a walk in the countryside or you’re welcome to stay behind & read a book to take in the peace.

Once back we’ll move back to the studio at 2.30pm to be treated to a beautiful sound bath from Katie (a different Katie!).

We'll begin to round up the day at around 4.30pm.

Inhale exhale - day retreat

Join us for a wonderful day retreat at the incredible venue in the Vale of Belvoir, beginning at 10am & finishing around 5pm.

The day will begin with welcoming & chatting in either the gardens if it's nice weather or the beautiful farmhouse kitchen or studio.

We will then move to the studio for a 2 hour workshop style Ashtanga practise with Charlotte. Incorporating pranayama at the start, then going into an Ashtanga led asana class & ending with some inversions play around before savasana.

After practise we'll break for lunch in either the garden or the farmhouse kitchen (weather dependant). Lunch is provided by Chamiah of Nourish Me Wild - for those of you who haven't heard of her, she provides exceptional, nutritionally balanced food. You'll be encouraged to take lunch slowly, chatting & making this an experience to really enjoy.

After lunch, we’ll move back to the studio to be treated to a flowing integrated practice with Sally, with an emphasis on mindful movement. This is followed by a restorative yin session which deeply restores the body and mind with long supported holds and stillness. We will finish with a blissful guided meditation.

We'll close the day together with foraged herbal tea & homemade snacks.
